Exhaust System

My old exhaust system that came with the car when I bought it wasn't too bad. It was 2.5 inch piping but was too loud in a high pitch sound, sounded raspy, rusty, and didnt even know what brand it was. So that is when I decided to go with Megan Racing Cat-Back System Drift Spec from Teknotik.com. It is made of SUS-304 Stainless Steel with a fully polished surface, CNC machined flanges and mandrel bends. It has an aggressive styling, and a deep, strong tone. It also serves to improve horsepower, torque and overall performance with its straight-through design. The exhaust systems have 2.5” piping. Finished with a tip that is designed to increase the scavenging effect and achieve maximum performance, while adding a perfect match on exterior styling as well.

Exhaust Headers

Tri-Y headers 4-2-1 from Teknotik.com was my choice after debating between 4-1 vs 4-2-1. I wanted to help the low/mid power of my engine and heard really good reviews about the Tri-Y 4-2-1 headers.

Air Intake

There was a lot of thinking and research when it came to my air intake swap, was I going to go ram air or cold air? After numerous days of thinking I made my final choice to go with a cold air intake. That is when I decided I was going to go with AEM V2 Teknotik.com. General rule of thumb is the longer and skinny pipe you have for an air intake will increase low/mid power and the shorter fatter pipe you have will increase high end power. AEM V2's unique design as a combination of both skinny and fat piping which helps low/mid and high end power.

Engine Mounts

Because my civic went from d-series to b-series it was important that I got the appropriate engine mounts for my car so I would avoid my engine/transmission possibly falling out the car. It also gives the car an aggressive feel. So I went with Drop Engineering engine mounts from Teknotik.com for my b16b.

Many people that decide to get after market mounts usually only switch the drivers side mount because that's the one that usually breaks first but what people don't know is that you need all three for proper stability of your engine/transmission. Don't be cheap when it comes to doing things properly with your car.
